Untertauern is a small, yet beautiful village in Austria's SalzburgerLand. Here at 1,000 m above sea level, you will find a perfect starting point for numerous hikes and walks. Along the banks of the Taurach, a beautiful bike and hiking path leads you to Radstadt. Mountain bikes are available for you to borrow at no cost, simply stop by the reception desk here at the Lürzerhof. Many different footpaths also await you right outside the hotel, taking you around the nearby wildlife park and the village itself.

The Gnadenalm - our very own alpine chalet

Located up at the Gnadenalm - a beautiful area of alpine pastures between Obertauern and Untertauern ´- you will find our very own mountain chalet, the Gnadenalm. During the summer months, we meet there once a week for a hill-country breakfast out on the sunny terrace. With products from our own farm and egg dishes prepared fresh over an open fire - it is hard to imagine getting the day off to a more wonderful start.
The Gnadenalm is a great starting point for numerous hikes to all points of the compass.
In winter, our Gnadenalm is a hub for winter sports: a cross-country ski trail, a floodlit sled run, a skating rink and winter hiking paths through countryside blanketed deep in snow, all of which are certain to captivate you.
