Untertauern Hotel Lürzerhof - Tradition in the Radstädter Tauern 

An establishment with a great history 

The Lürzerhof is an establishment with a long tradition. In fact, its history extends back far beyond the 14th century. For over 400 years. the Lürzerhof has been owned by our own family. Even back in Roman times, the north-south axis across the Alps was used for trade. Today, most traffic travels through the Tauern Tunnel, while the road over the Radstädter Tauern in Untertauern has been significantly improved.

How it all began... 

The Lürzerhof has been owned by our family for over 400 years. In the early 50s, the Lürzerhof became a hospitality establishment for travelers using the Tauern Road. The hotel has constantly been kept up to the very latest and highest standards.

• 1998 - the Habersatter family builds an indoor pool at the hotel. In 2000, the kitchen is rebuilt including storage rooms.
  
• 2001 - a major remodeling of the hotel, taking it back down to the ground floor before being rebuilt with new, spacious rooms offering all the comforts.
• Since 2001- the Lürzerhof in Untertauern has been rated as a 4-star hotel. 
  
• The Lürzerhof constantly invests in quality for our guests. In 2008, the Lürzerhof adds an over 1500 m² wellness & spa facility, an underground parking garage, a fitness room and 2 spacious conference rooms.
• 2008 - the Habersatter family installs a new, biomass heating system - all of the heating needs of the hotel now being met by our own wood.
  
• 2009 . the Lürzerhof is certified as an Alpine Wellness Hotel.
  
• 2010 - our wellness hotel is personally awarded the Austrian Eco Seal by the Minister of the Environment. This award is only given to establishments which take a sustainable approach to business and are particularly mindful of the environment.
