The skiing fascination of Obertauern in SalzburgerLand, Austria, at 1,741 m above sea level on the sunny side of the mountains.

Unbeatably reliable snow conditions and top quality snow due to ideal elevations ranging from 1,639 m to 2,350 m.

Obertauern guarantees a 160-day ski season - with the lifts running from the end of November until the beginning of May.

95 kilometres of ski slopes - including 56 km which are easy (blue signs), 35 km intermediate (red) and 4 km expert (black). Clearly posted signs for the different slopes make it easy for guests to keep their bearings inside the ski area.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, our visitors are able to enjoy night-skiing under the lights at the Edelweiss lift in Obertauern.

The Gamsleiten 2 is the secret emblem of Obertauern, one of the steepest ski runs in Europe. A definite must for every experienced skier and snowboarder. And magical alpine vistas await you up at the Gamsleiten 2 mountain station.
