And in order to do so, only the best fruit is used. Fermented cleanly, then distilled gently. It is only with boundless effort, hard work and expertise that such unique and honest products are possible.
Fine schnapps, bacon, jams... all homemade!
"Honesty endures longest", an old German saying that has lost none of its validity over the years. The bacon is refined and nutty in flavor, the muscle layer infinitely tender, the fat white, full-bodied and flavorful, to the extent that it would never cross anyone's mind to cut it off. How to you get bacon such as this? Quite simply, the pigs we keep at the Weyerhof are allowed to grow slowly, in summer they are out on the meadow, and in winter they are fed milk and good hay. The meat is then cured and flavored using an old family recipe, after which it is smoked for 4 weeks. Twice daily, morning and evenings, the cold (!) smoke of beech and juniper slowly infiltrates the smoker, allowing the bacon to mature into a food that is exquisite beyond compare. And naturally enough, our in-house smoked products are also used in the kitchens of the Lürzerhof. Home-cured bacon at the Lürzerhof in Obertauern - Untertauern.
